"How grateful we are for having him in our family for these few years...God bless you all! you each have a special place in our hearts for all the good you do!"
From Jen, October 28, 2014: " Our sweet Ethan passed away this morning at 10:20. We are so grateful for the blessing he has been to us in his short life, and the impact he was able to make on many people. We are so grateful for the support we have received, and the blessing all of you have been to our family. We are picturing Ethan happy and at peace. We are so grateful for the blessing of being a forever family, and look forward to the day when we can be with him again. Until then, rest in peace, sweet Ethan. <3 "
Ethan was blessed to be born into this family, to these parents with him as he entered and as he left this earth. His life, though short and wrought with the pain of this terrible disease, was full of incredible love. He brought a family together, a ward, a community, and countless others. Thank you, Ethan, for bringing us together.
"In a bittersweet moment Another Angel has found their wings"... May God bless and keep all of you ...

I don't know your family personally at all, but only recently knew of the trying times you've been going through via a link on Buzzfeed about Christmas coming early to a town. I've scrolled back through your blog for the better part of the last hour and on the newest entry, I'm finding myself in tears for your son. I'll be saying a prayer for him, and for all of your family to find peace and some comfort right now.

ReplyDeleteThe strength you and your family have is beyond amazing. I read your son's story and just cried. What a fighter he was. God seen how strong little Ethan was and realized he needed him in his kingdom. Your son was a true super hero. He has touched not only my heart but I'm sure a million others as well. Your son is in a much better place now, a place where pain and hurt no longer exist. Picture your beautiful son cancer free, doing all the things his sickness kept him from doing here on earth. I pray that God will continue to provide comfort and strength for you and your family. You've got a perfect guardian angel now :)
