The boys all buzzed their hair in honor of Ethan. Makayla offered to cut hers, which was a big sacrifice as she is trying to grow it out.

the kids came to visit today. This is the most he has smiled since being diagnosed. Made us all very happy.

Our story:

Our little Ethan was diagnosed with high risk ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia) on September 7, 2011, when he was 22 months old. He was told he would have a long 3 year road of chemo ahead of him, with the first 7-9 months being the most intense. Because of delays in treatment, he finished his "intense" portion early July of 2012. He was in "maintenance" (a lower intensity portion of chemotherapy) for one year when we found out he had relapsed. We did the regimen for relapse chemotherapy for 5 months. Unfortunately, those treatments have not been working for little Ethan. We are now entering an experimental phase of treatment hoping to help our son win his life.

We have seen more miracles than we can count as we go down this road of cancer. We have seen more generosity to the point of feeling overwhelmed with gratitude. There are many good people in this world. I am also so grateful that we have a Heavenly Father to lead us and guide us through this crazy journey of life. Without Him, I would most definitely be lost!
